SHOE CARE RECOMMENDATIONS:
Chelsea Boot with a Doc signature touchThe 2976 is Dr Martens' classic Chelsea boot style. It first came out in the early 70s and has been a staple in the Docs range ever since. Featuring a stretchy gusset and a pull tab, they're designed to be slipped on with ease (once broken in) no laces, no fuss. This pair is the fancy twin brother of the 2976 Smooth Chelsea Boot, because it’s similar but it just has that famous yellow stitch too!
Fit: The 2976 is a generous fit in the width without being too wide for the average foot, like the 1460 boot. Customers with narrower feet sometimes go down a half or full size. The 2976s are pretty true to size in the length. With any leather shoe or boot the length is the most important thing to get right from the get-go. A good leather will always give in the width, but never in the length so they could feel a tad snug at first but hang in there!
Support: Dr.Martens offer a medium level of support, if you’re after extra support, grab an insert or an insole. Really comfortable once broken in, which can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months.
Durability: The famous smooth leather makes this a durable and solid boot but like anything, if you look after it, it’ll look after you, so just make sure you are using care products on these boots to keep them mint! Beeswax, Polish, or Dr.Martens own Wonder Balsalm should be all your go to’s! shoe care guide!
